Earlier this year, the team at Edwards Diving Services successfully delivered a bulkhead and stop log installation at Chasewater Reservoir with the help of NATCEM 35. The aim of the project was to restore safe access and full hydraulic control for the asset owner, ensuring the long-term functionality and maintanence of the structure.
The project began with a flooded wet well, preventing safe inspection and access to critical infrastructure. A detailed investigation was required to assess the condition of the asset and develop a suitable engineering solution.
The team installed and secured the steel frames supporting the stop log channels using NATCEM 35. This removed the need for mechanical fixings. The approach delivered a precise and efficient installation. It also maintained the structural integrity required for this critical asset.
The system withstands a 10-metre head of water and delivers reliable performance under high hydraulic pressure. In addition, the reservoir spans approximately 270 acres, meaning a significant volume of water is safely retained.
Overall, this project shows how the product performs in demanding environments. It also plays a key role in maintaining the safety and functionality of critical infrastructure.
