As passionate supporters of community events and with a keen sense of local pride, we decided to make the most of the occasion by turning it into a celebration of our own. Our team embraced the chance to get involved by setting up outside the office, and we made it our mission to add a little Natural Cement flair to the race atmosphere. Armed with themed buns, hats, and water bottles, we handed them out to eager spectators, adding to the spirit. The buns, each topped with a little cyclist decoration, became a hit among passersby, and the branded hats and bottles were a fun keepsake for those cheering on the competitors.

Even though the weather was less than perfect—with the occasional drizzle and chilly winds—it did nothing to dampen our enthusiasm. It was truly wonderful to see the larger community come together in support of the race, lining the streets with cheers and applause as the cyclists powered through the village. The Tour of Britain brought excitement to our doorstep, and we were proud to contribute to the day in our own way.

We believe in the importance of community engagement and events like this are a reminder of how sport can unite people, even in the smallest of places like Mapplewell. As we watched the athletes push forward in their race, we couldn’t help but feel inspired by their determination and teamwork—values that resonate deeply with us at Natural Cement.
