We regularly use Natural Cement products for projects that require a cementitious solution. A lot of our work involves working near water courses and the additional environmental considerations, lend themselves to the use of these safer products. The rapid cure time and strength gain is also a major consideration when tidal working.
The staff at Natural Cement are always helpful & professional and the products meet all specifications needed to complete our jobs.

EDS work in a variety of difficult access locations (including confined spaces and underwater), often with limited time available due to tidal or water flow constraints or with customers who want to limit downtime on their assets. NatCem35 provides us with a perfect solution of an easy-to-use product which provides rapid strength and early set – getting the job done to a high standard in the minimum time necessary. With a large team and expensive temporary works equipment on site, time is money, and so Natural Cement products are the perfect solution to ensuring we can work efficiently and effectively. We also appreciate the technical support from the team and rapid shipping which has been a saviour more than once!

The material has been used for small concrete repairs, external plastering and pointing work around MacDuff, Banff, Portsoy and Rosehearty harbours. The material is very easy for site staff to prepare as there are no additives or mixing requirements. The waterproofing nature of the material is also attractive to use around the harbour. From our, albeit limited use of the material I would have no hesitation in recommending it for use as a concrete repair product in the marine environment.

We have used NATCEM 35 and NATCEM AC on a wide variety of projects from schools and commercial properties to domestic dwellings. It has generally been used for concrete repairs to columns, beams and other concrete elements. Its main advantage over other proprietary concrete repair products is its use where temporary formwork is being used. The rapid setting properties of NATCEM allows formwork to be stripped the same day instead of having to return to site again the next day.

We have used Natural Cement on two recent projects for the refurbishment of Sugar Loaf Tunnel for Railtrack Great Western Zone and the upgrading of Winchester Tunnel for Railtrack Eastern Zone. From our experience, the material used in sprayed concrete work, had very low rebound properties, high early strength and excellent adhesive properties even in very wet conditions. We are very pleased to recommend the use of the material and can confirm that it is our intention to specify this material for use in any further refurbishment works we may have in the future.

Over the past few years, a number of projects have been undertaken for our company during which Natural Cement products were used. These projects have all been successfully completed within the difficult constraints of time and access which control all works on the operational railway. We are writing to express the high regard that has developed within our organisation for Natural Cement products and to record our appreciation for the high quality of service that your company provides.

First introduction to Natural Cement was a water authority contract for Yorkshire Water at Dunford Bridge near Holmfirth. The specification was for SHOTCRETE 513 due to its WAA status. The environmental considerations were paramount, and its inert nature and short curing times were fundamental in its inclusion in the restrictive specification, which was for slope stabilisation on a primary drinking water reservoir. Since the successful completion of this contract, SHOTCRETE 513 has been our first choice for dry sprayed material within environmentally sensitive areas such as rivers or water authority structures. An example of this was the limestone canal tunnels contract in Dudley, West Midlands, where SHOTCRETE 513 was sprayed onto the roof of unstable limestone tunnels for stabilisation.
