How to Mix and Apply NATCEM® 35: Simple, Reliable, and Site-Ready
When it comes to cement-based repair materials, complexity slows everything down. That’s why NATCEM® 35 has been designed to be straightforward to mix, easy to apply, and consistent on site.
In fact, once you understand the basics, mixing and applying NATCEM® 35 becomes second nature. There’s no complicated process, no specialist training required, and no unnecessary steps.
Mixing NATCEM® 35 Is Simple by Design
To mix NATCEM® 35 correctly, start by adding 3.6 litres of clean water to a bucket or mixer. Then, gradually pour the NATCEM® 35 powder into the water. This order matters, as it helps prevent dry pockets and also ensures a smooth, even mix. It should be noted that more water can be added to the mix for a more fluid consistency, to a maximum of 4 litres.
For best results, we recommend using a rosebud paddle. This provides thorough blending and helps achieve a consistent, workable mortar. Standard mixing paddles can also be used, provided the material is fully incorporated.
After a short mixing period, NATCEM® 35 reaches a cohesive, as well as lump-free consistency and is ready for immediate use. No additives are required, and there is no extended mixing time.
