Natural Cement have proudly supported and sponsored Barnsley FC all throughout the 2024/2025 season from the comfort and luxury of the Natural Cement Legends Suite!

While being able to endorse and support our local team is enough for us, every so often we are gifted with an exclusive opportunity to participate in activities or days with the club we find ourselves very grateful for – one of these most recently was the Barnsley FC Staff v Sponsors match, played on the main pitch at Oakwell Stadium!

Speaking about the opportunity to play on the pitch, Marketing Coordinator James said “What a great opportunity – I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not a footballer at heart, never have been – but everytime I’ve visited Oakwell for Barnsley fixtures with the company or when I attended the Simpson & Chelli fight, Oakwell has impressed me and made me proud of my hometown – to then have the chance to play on that pitch was a great feeling.”

There was some uncertainty regarding the opposition’s team leading into the match. Technically the first team count as ‘staff’, but it looks like they’d all taken this game off which was a much needed benefit of the sponsors. Despite that, Barnsley FC staff proved a tough opponent although the game did finish 7 – 5 FT to the sponsors.

A great game, and a healthy bit of excitement and camaraderie between the club and Natural Cement and other sponsors – we’re already looking forward to next year.
